The project aimed at conducting an ex ante evaluation of the operational programme for the European Social Funds of the Free State of Thuringia in the programming period 2014-2020. The ex ante evaluation centered on assessing the programme strategy, indicators, the monitoring and evaluation system, as well as the consistency of financial allocations and the contribution of the programme to the Europe 2020 strategy. The project design was focused on an iterative process that allowed for close interaction between the ex ante-evaluation and the Managing Authority and other stakeholders during the preparation of the programme.
