Dr. Vanita Matta is a research associate at ISG since 2016. Before that she was lecturer and scientific assistant at the University of Zurich – Institute of Sociology. There she penned her dissertation thesis titled “Self-regulated working time, working hours and individual overemployment”, for which she has been given her PhD in 2015. While she studied sociology and economics at the University of Cologne between 2003 and 2009 (Diploma), she also worked part-time in the field of social science: first in the editorial department of a German peer-reviewed journal (“Kölner Zeitschrift für Soziologie und Sozialpsychologie”) and second at the Data Archive for the Social Sciences (GESIS).
