The special program “The Job of My Life (Mobipro-EU)” is a funding for projects that support young adults, aged between 18 and 35 years, who are living in the European Union (EU) and for whom the right to move freely applies. The goal is to reduce barriers to mobility, preparing young Europeans for a dual education in Germany and support companies in successfully filling vacant positions for vocational training. The projects in the special program contain the recruitment of young adults in their countries of origin, transfer them to companies and support the participants in improving their language skills, at their integration in Germany and by tutoring during their traineeship. In addition, there is financial support during their vocational training increasing their training allowances to 818 Euros.
The goal of the research project in cooperation with the Institute for Applied Economic Research e.V. (IAW) and the SOKO-Institute is to analyze the effects, the access mechanisms and the implementation characteristics of the special program MobiPro-EU. Furthermore it will identify if the targets of the program are met and what the causal effects of the program are. In an additional study, the determinants for a project or program termination were examined in more detail. Furthermore, there are monitoring reports on a quarterly basis. Results of the evaluation were presented on the regional and nationwide network meetings.
